Character Reflection

Character reflection is a sub-skill, but it's an important one. As students practice building characters, giving them unique personalities and realistic voices, having a character reflect on his or her past is worth a look.

I always use LearnZillion's lesson to introduce this topic. It can be found HERE.

It's very simplistic and it walks students step-by-step through the process of having a character reflect back to a previous time, but it illustrates how this can be woven into the text of a narrative without much fuss.
