Developing the Instruction
Also called "Instructional Delivery"

As in designing the message,Morrison et al. (1998)states three different instructional delivery methods. These are:
a. Group presentation (lectures)
b. Self-paced instruction
c. Small-group activities
There will be sections of the unit in which the teacher "lectures," but not many. The teacher will model the writing skills and he or she might take 10-15 minutes to read through a text and demonstrate how to locate examples of descriptive writing, good dialogue, or exceptional action. But that would be the extent of the "lecturing."

Students who prefer to forge ahead should find that this unit lends itself to self-paced learning. IF the teacher prepares a list of required writing submissions - the descriptive practice, the dialogue practice, the storyboarding - students should be able to work at a faster pace if desired.

Small group activities will be interspersed throughout the unit. Some opportunities for collaboration are:
-
identification of descriptive techniques in new passages (see https://kami.app/umQxP9vwBcH5)
-
Filling in graphic organizers with details from setting images or character images
-
Writing dialogue between two characters
-
Peer editing of written work
